They will head to North America next month for a two-week development tour with the NSW Cockatoos.
While they will miss two of the Vikings opening matches for the season, the club will hope to reap the rewards down the track.
Williams has had a taste of first grade already, while Knox and Elford will be knocking on the door - potentially by the end of this season.
"It's the first development tour for me at such a high level team," he said.
"I've been in local rep teams, but this is something a lot higher."
The Vikings clubmates have made an impression after earning selection for the tour following standout performances at last year's country championships.
"After the weekend where we did a bit of training we can tell it's already had a positive impact on the three of us," Williams said.
"It will help me out with the coaches; they know what they're doing so they'll be able to help out with the more technical side of the game because I just play what I see.
"To get that insight from those guys will do us all the world of good."
Williams, Knox and Elford will miss the Vikings round-two clash with Port Macquarie Pirates - instead, they'll be sightseeing in the north of America.
"We'll miss two games here," Williams said.
"But we play three or four games over there - one in Vancouver, one in LA and two in San Francisco.
"In between that we've got activities like seeing Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and Six Flags so it's going to be a hell of a trip."
They fly out on April 14.
