No hair don't care is the message Hastings Public School's Zake Morris wants people to know after shaving it all of as part of the World's Greatest Shave.

In front of his school mates on March 15, Zake let fellow classmates snip off his luscious locks sending a strong message he stands beside those going through cancer.
"Over the years I have had a few different hair styles but last year I got a bit lazy and let it start to grow long," Zake said.
"It has now been about three years and I had to start using a hair tie to keep it all back at school.
"People kept asking me if I was growing it for a reason but in the beginning it was just because I didn't want to get it cut.
"Then I heard about the World's Greatest Shave and decided to grow it for that."
After the shave Zake said he was proud that he could do something to help.
"We have raised about $2,500 for the World's Greatest Shave and I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who has donated and helped out," he said.
"Especially my mum and dad and principal who have let me do it and to all my friends who are supporting me.
"I am still getting used to having no hair but this is nothing compared to those who are going through cancer."
He said the atmosphere on the day of the shave was "great fun".
"I think everyone had a good day. I had six of my friends snip a ponytail of hair and then Alani Cockshutt did the final trim.
"It wasn't supposed to be as short as it got cut but I actually like it."
