Port Macquarie residents are getting out and about to celebrate unity with public activities for this year's Harmony Day.

Local groups and schools are hosting numerous activities as the nation takes time to recognise the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21.
The day encourages an 'Everyone Belongs' attitude of community participation and inclusiveness.
Charles Sturt University's Port Macquarie campus will host a community event on Thursday from 11.30am to 2pm.
Student Services Division's Engagement and Strategic Practice Leader Transition, acting director Kath Attree said all were welcome to join this year's celebrations.
"Charles Sturt University is celebrating 20 years of Harmony Day in Australia on Thursday, 21 March," she said.
"Harmony Day recognises the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is held on the 21st of March each year.
"CSU supports the Australian Human Rights Commission's 'Racism, It Stops with Me' campaign and has a zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment."
The day will include a taste of harmony food, treats and snacks, interactive activities, live music and dancing, photo booths and games.
Attendees are encouraged to wear orange, the official Harmony Day colour.
St Agnes' Primary's Meaghan Besseling said the school will be hosting events including a colour run and obstacle course on April 4.
"We have elected to have a on Thursday, April 4 as the main celebration of harmony week," she said.
"Each grade has selected a country or culture that is represented by families in our school community.
"We are hoping to set up a cultural display within the school, made up of items shared by the families from the many cultures represented in our school community. "
Students are also allowed to wear the colours of their selected country or its national costume on April 4 and has been running a number of cultural events in the preceding weeks.
Tai Chi demonstrations, dancing, art and craft and name writing will also be held at Taree's TAFE NSW campus from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, March 21 to recognised diversity and inclusion activities.
Kendall Public School hosted their celebration on March 13 with students dressing in orange to symbolise social communication and meaningful conversations.
