With a record number of entries in many of the pavilions those who took the drive to Comboyne on day one of the show were not disappointed.
Marion Lawrence, show coordinator said the rain had certainly turned people away but the quality of the show was still excellent.
"There is so much to see and do at the Comboyne Show that we are really hoping people will come out despite the rain," Ms Lawrence said.
"We have had a record number of entries in the chook judging competition and the level of art that was submitted for judging is very extraordinary.
"We are very pleased with the quality of produce and products that people entered in the show this year and it is well worth the drive to come and see it all."
Ms Lawrence said there were also a number of community groups and locals who help put together the great show.
"We have lots of community groups helping out this weekend so despite the weather we are encouraging people to come up to Comboyne and check out our great show."
The show will continue on March 17.
