"You are not alone" is the message primary school leaders at St Columba Anglican School are giving to students as part of the 2019 National Day of Action Against Bullying.

Year 6 leaders spend the national action day on March 15 talking to students in their classes to try and send a strong warning that bullying is not on.
Adam Hempsell and Roxie Bowan are the 2019 year 6 school captains and both said stopping bullying was a priority for them.
"The national day against bullying is all about making sure kids feel safe at school," Roxie said.
"When you are being bullied it is terrible and I think some students feel like they can't come forward and tell other students or a teacher.
"But we want to tell everyone who is being bullied that you are not alone and we want you to come forward because we believe you.
"This year we wanted to make a big deal about telling people about how bad bullying can be so we decided to go and visit every class and talk to them about bullying," Adam said.
"Bullying can be really bad and sometimes it gets so bad for young people that they take their own life and that is something we don't want to happen."
They also said that by going around and talking to all the students they wanted to inform them about what bullying actually is.
"Bullying is not a once off mean word, bullying is intentional and done over and over and sometimes daily," Roxie said.
"We want people to know that it is okay to ask for help and to tell people."
