THE driver of a vehicle was not at the scene of an accident which left a car and an electrical sub-station on fire and a home under threat.

The incident occurred at about 1am on March 15 in Laguna Place, Port Macquarie.
Residents were awoken to a loud crash and several small explosions that caused a power outage in the surrounding area.
The fire brigade and police were called to the scene where they found a dual cab ute alight.
Station officer at Port Macquarie Fire and Rescue NSW Michael Kearns said it appears as though the vehicle had hit the electrical sub-station at high speed. The driver was not at the scene, he said.
"It was hit with some force because it had moved the entire sub-station off its foundations," Mr Kearns said.
Surrounding vegetation was also alight and two fire crews had to act and lay protection lines around the blaze to prevent it from spreading to a nearby house.
Crews were unable to isolate and extinguish the electrical fire until power had been cut to the area, Mr Kearns said.
Crews were on scene for more than two hours.
