Prime minister of the school's parliament, Zake said that to him the stuff on top of his head is just hair but to others it is very important.
"Over the years I have had a few different hair styles but last year I got a bit lazy and let it start to grow long," Zake said.
"It has now been about three years and I have had to start using a hair tie to keep it all back at school.
"People kept asking me if I was growing it for a reason but in the beginning it was just because I didn't want to get it cut.
"Then I heard about the World's Greatest Shave and decided to grow it for that."
Zake said the World's Greatest Shave is a great thing to be part of because it raises money to help those who have blood cancer.
"I know someone who had Leukaemia so I sort of know how bad it can be and I thought if I could do something to help I would," he said.
"World's Greatest Shave is a great cause and I am fundraising to see how much money I can get before I shave my head on Friday.
"We are holding a mufti day at school and people will come dressed in blue and orange for World's Greatest Shave so hopefully I get lots of money."
Zake also said he is excited for another new hair style.
"For me I am not worried about losing my hair and I think it will be fun to shave my head.
"It is just something different but I hope the money I raise can help someone else."
Zake will have his head shaved in front of his school mates on Friday, March 15.
