The full list of candidates was revealed at Thursday morning's ballot draw.
The order is:
Peter Alley, Country Labor
Leslie Williams, The Nationals
Drusi Megget, The Greens
Jan Burgess, Sustainable Australia
All the candidates were in attendance with the exception of Ms Burgess.
Pre-poll voting begins on Monday 11 March until Friday 22 March.
Pre-poll centres are located at Camden Haven Scout Hall ( 5 Tunis Street, Laurieton) and the Port Macquaire Election Manager's Office ( 3/125 Gordon Street, Port Macquarie).
The centres are open Mon - Fri 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm but are closed on Sunday.
Port Macquarie election manager Gary Humphries said each voting centre will provide assistance for anyone that needs it.
"We have got interpretive services, we have got magnified glasses, we will make sure there is wheelchair access at every location, all the person needs to do is turn up and flag down an election official and they will provide all the assistance they need."
Electronic voting is also available.
"You go online through the electoral web page and request an i vote and then you can do that online," Mr Humphries said.
"People need to go online to apply for postal votes too.
The National's Leslie Williams has held the seat since 2011. The current margin is 19 per cent.
The seat has historically been a comfortably safe seat for the National Party.
This tradition was broken in 2002, when three-term National member and shadow minister Rob Oakeshott resigned from the party to become an independent.
He was reelected as an Independent in 2003 and 2007.
Mr Oakeshott resigned in 2008 to run in a by-election for the federal seat of Lyne, which was based on Port Macquarie at the time.
He was succeeded by longtime friend and staffer Peter Besseling who ran as an Independent.
