The annual event featuring class 1 and 2 reptiles is being hosted by North Coast Herpetology Group from 10am to 3pm on March 17 at Port Macquarie Panthers.
North Coast Herpetology Group's Michael Banicek said a number of non-venomous animals were on show for display and sale in the event's fourth year.
"Animals like children's pythons are very popular this year. Blue tongue lizards are going crazy right now because there are albino or black varieties," he said.
"I have a collection of black headed pythons, carpet pythons, children's pythons and I selectively keep what I like."
Face painting for the kids and a reptile pit talk by Billabong Zoo is also expected on the day, however frog collectors from Sydney are not expected to attend.
"It's a good opportunity to bring the kids along, get them along to some of the meetings and have a day out for them," said Mr Banicek.
"Everyone is looking forward to it, there are people coming from Queensland and Tamworth.
"It's also a chance for members from different societies to get together for display and show animals for sale.
"Anyone can purchase a reptile on the day. People do need an native animal keeper licence which is available online."
The North Coast Herpetology Group meet on the first Friday of each month from 7pm at Lions Club Hall in Hastings River Drive.
