The figures formed of a quarterly progress report tabled at the February meeting.
And it brought Cr Lee Dixon to his feet in praise of the report's results.
"This is something that our local press should be reporting on," Cr Dixon announced, as he looked toward the Port News.
"It is reports like this that give an overview of where your (community) rates are going," he said.
"I am sure the community does not get into the nuts and bolts of these things but it is important for the community to be aware of this one.
"Get your eyes across this report," he said.
Cr Dixon is correct, the quarterly progress reports to council and the community provide a central point of information on the progress on delivering the actions set out in the 2018/19 operational plan.
Meeting the targets and performance measures in the annual operational plan contributes to the overall achievement of the objectives outlined in the four year delivery program 2017/2021.
Council has a legislated requirement to report against the delivery program each six months. The next report is scheduled in March 2019.
There are four key performance areas, leadership and governance, your community, your business and industry and natural and built environment.
Leadership and governance covers areas including, call centre response rates, media releases, customer enquiries, Facebook and website visitors and business units.
Your community covers lifeguard education program, recreation action plan, sporting field renewal program, regional master planning and upgrades to coastal walk.
Your business and industry includes, implementing small business friendly council program, major events, airport terminal upgrade and parallel taxiway and general aviation pavement renewal.
Natural and built environment includes, centralised sewerage systems for small towns, storm water remediation, storm water flooding remediation, construction of new footpaths, improved pedestrian amenity for Wauchope and Newport Island Road roundabout works.
