The world premiere of musical drama, Theatrical Antics is set to explode into the Panthers Port Macquarie box office from 8pm Fridays and 2pm Sundays on March 1, 3 and April 26, 28.
The story follows the unseen relationships and inner workings of an aging French theatre in Sydney, called The Arcadian, its history in the prime of performance and a great unfolding tragedy in its past.
The major fundraiser for Endeavour Clubhouse is written and directed by Jay Corr, with musical directing from Andrew Lavers.
Mr Corr said written the piece as a comedy play years ago and decided to release it to the public this year.
"I wrote it ten years ago and (recently) I decided, I'm going to do this," he said.
"This one is very close to my heart... and the last three months we have been rehearsing really into it (started in March last year)."
"There are twists and turns, great tragedy and as yet no one has guessed the ending when they've seen it."
Actors and actresses are busy with final rehearsals on February 24 and final readings on Wednesday, February 27 - for the show which is expected to be opened by state member Leslie Williams.
Audiences can expect to see classic 1911 costumes as well as Bodica inspired roman warrior outfits from Arcadian's own performance.
Mr Corr said eight cast and six production members were about to take audiences on an unforgettable journey.
"We will take people's emotions up and down, when we get to the ending you have got to be watching it all the way through," he said.
"If it's a success we will put on more performances."
Tickets for the 16 year old and up play are $25 for adults, $10 for concession - it is held in conjunction with Endeavour Club House and Yogi Productions.
