Students were divided into their six house teams for the day, dressing in different colours to show their house pride.
Swimming carnival coordinator Mike Cannon said the students had a great time at the pool.
“Today we gathered for our annual swimming carnival and all the students and staff are having a blast,” Mr Cannon said.
“As well as having a great time, the carnival is a chance for students to qualify for the school’s swim team and qualify for a spot at the Diocesan swimming carnival in a few weeks time.”
Mr Cannon also said the carnival is about the students earning point for their house teams.
“We have six houses at the school and at different events during the year students can earn points,” he said.
“In sport they can earn points at the swimming carnival, athletics carnival and cross country carnival but their are other ways they can get points.
“At the end of the year the house with the most points wins the Father Leo Donnelly Shield.”
At the end of the day, Innes House came out victorious beating out Macquarie in second, Wilson in third, Flinders in fourth, Oxley in fifth and Hastings in sixth place.
