Pirates were never in the chase with constant wickets falling before they were bowled out for 71 in the 19th over.
At South Kempsey Oval, Wauchope RSL were beaten in a last-over thriller with Rovers sneaking home by one wicket.
Darren Bourke was best for Wauchope with 49 and Bailey Smith 41 in their team’s total of 213.
Callan McKiernan took 4-24 and Josh Brenton 2/19 from eight overs.
In reply Rovers lost their first wicket Tim Smith for 35, with the score at 78. Fellow opener Callan McKiernan maintained his form with 77.
As wickets started to fall, the game was on.
Rovers lost wicket number nine with three runs required in the last over.
For Wauchope, Matt Day took 4-35 and Bailey Smith 3-17 from eight overs.
Wingham’s win over Port City Leagues Magpies leaves them comfortably on top of the McDonalds Premier Cricket League table.
Magpies won the toss and batted and settled with 5-152. In reply Wingham took the victory in the 25th over with 4-157.
