A thought occurred to me that Port Macquarie is missing something which was very dear to my heart whilst growing up in Sydney.

Our children, teenagers, families need to be involved in fun sport activities that create a rich sense of well-being and happiness with fitness and competition.

It's a foundation to the healthy mind and body. ICE SKATING!

Our community from 6 to 60+ would benefit and this structure would boost tourism and jobs in the area.

Schools would benefit too, such a great sport, even take it to higher levels if they want to achieve the skills.

I love watching the winter sports on TV and ice skate dancing is my favourite.

Anyone else agree or would you rather sit in a chair for two hours eating popcorn and junk food?
