They currently sit in seventh position, but are only a win and a half outside the top four.
It makes their clash with fourth-placed Taree United an ever-so-important one.
United had a big run chase last week and Macquarie held off a run chase.
At Cedar Party Reserve, league-leaders Wingham are home to Port City Leagues Magpies in fifth.
Both are last start losers and need to win to be in the top four and Wingham’s batting needs to step up and produce.
At Oxley Oval, Taree West will visit to tangle with Port Macquarie Pirates.
Taree West have faded from the four, but with the league’s premier batsman, Josh Meldrum in the team, they can score many, many runs.
Their opening bowlers, Shane Manny and Ryan Williams will look to stop the Pirates.
Pirates opening pair, Damian Kulmar and Ambrose Humphreys have been solid all season, maybe they will be spectacular.
Tom Connolly with the bat and Connor Cook with the ball will be in the thick of the action.
South Kempsey will see second-placed Wauchope against a surging Rovers in sixth.
Wauchope have a settled, experienced team, led by Matt Miller, another all-rounder of note.
Andrew Murrell is a league-leading bowler and Nathan Lyon is a batsman in the top five.
Bailey Smith is ready to showcase his talent.
Rovers had Callan McKiernan open and close their last game with an unbeaten century, Mitch Korn has emerged as a bowler and young Lachlin Dowling is a young bat of prominence.
