Bragging rights go on the line at training for the side when they head north to compete in the nine-a-side pre-season competition.
Dan Kemp will coach the Blue side, while Ben Hyde is expected to run the rule over the White side.
Trae Clarke, Luke Sinclair and Owen Blair could potentially line up against Sean Barrett, Jason Jones and Kyle Robbins should both teams qualify for the final on Saturday afternoon.
“Every team is guaranteed at least three matches each,” Kemp said.
“The boys will be doing a lot of running and it will be the first look at our match fitness and a chance for blokes to start to get their timing right.”
Woolgoolga, Lismore Marist Brothers and South Grafton will come up against Kemp’s men, while South Grafton, Murwillumbah and Boggabri will run around against Hyde’s select side.
Newcastle and North Tamworth will also field teams.
“It’s the first time we’ve headed up there with me in charge so it’s relaxed our pre-season a little bit,” Kemp said.
“It will give some of the blokes a small taste of footy; it’ll be good to throw a footy around.”
Meanwhile, the Breakers will play a pre-season fixture against Wauchope at Lank Bain Sporting Complex on March 9 ahead of their season opener on April 6.
