Drag queens from across Australia frocked up for the head-to-head dance, singing and glamour affair between 10 entrants at Panthers on February 9.
Brisbane's Koko (Dean Nash), the competition's first titleholder, said it was a great turn-out for fans and queens alike.
"I'd encourage everyone to give it a go, there's nothing as liberating," Koko said.
"I grew up in Wingham and did most of my training in Laurieton - now I work in a law firm (in Brisbane). The hours are great to build up performance skills.
"I think my performance style, passion and drive won me the title and my performances of several songs."
Local organising divas Nick Cameron and GJ Hayward hosted the evening with judges, social media star Christian Hull, Sydney drag queen Coco Jumbo and local socialite Sarah Gale.
"We know the response has been huge and would like to keep it going. It has been a pretty big success," said Mr Cameron.
"It took seven months worth of planning, sounds and lighting as well as judges. We planned it with Panthers, they mentored us.
"All the hard work paid off."
Mr Cameron said Koko Verdose's passion fired up the night, netting the victory.
"Her consistency and her energy - she dominated the stage," he said.
"She can dance, lip sync like no-one I've seen. There's so much passion and drive."
Plans are already being made for the next edition in 2020, despite both organisers expected to move overseas, according to Mr Cameron.
"We've had our first meeting for the next one already. It's at a decision stage for keeping it here in Port Macquarie or going to a bigger city," he said.
"It ran so smooth, it was really well done - if I'd change anything it would be to have more glitter."
