Everyone chipped in with bat and ball in a complete team effort, newbie Keith Lang judged the team's Mman of the match with a slashing batting display.
He was careful not to run too much and kept his injured calf muscle ok for the state 50s where he will be playing in the Div 1 Marlins squad.
He also picked up wickets for a good day out as one of ‘younguns’, with 58 and 59 year olds invited to play regional matches in the 60s Vets.
Stalwarts Greg Kohler and Dave Wilson also dined out on the local bowling fare as the MNC lads hit up a commanding 6 for 232 and then dominated the Newcastle lads, dismissing them for 172.
McWilliams, skipper Merv Bourke and Lang all did well with the ball whilst another youngun, Forster's Rick Clark, followed up his stylish run scoring with a brace of wickets in his first outing for the Vets.
