Mrs Clayworth, Mrs Coen and the children’s Year 6 buddies have been helping them settle in, and make sure that they have a successful, positive start to their first year at Beechwood Public School.
The school has welcomed six new families into the school, not including the new kindergarten students and are looking at about 170 enrolments in total.
Acting principal Mrs Bromfield said last week was a very settled start back to school, with all students coming back and doing a fabulous job remembering the school expectations.
“Every classroom I walked into reflected a positive, happy learning environment, and I know that teachers finished off the week feeling very optimistic and upbeat about their new classes,” she said.
“I will take this opportunity to say a very warm welcome to the new students and families that have joined our school and community this year, and congratulations to the new students who bravely and successfully joined their new classes for the first time,” said Mrs Bromfield.
“I am confident that our new students and their families will quickly make many new Beechwood friends, and they will become a valuable part of our school community.”
