Seniors from across the region are invited to attend the biggest Sensational Seniors Expo yet, with 85 exhibitors and a bumper line-up of live entertainment on show all under one roof.
The free expo, will be at Panthers Port Macquarie from 9am to 2pm on Monday, February 18.
It will be a great opportunity for retirees and those about to retire to access information on health and aged care services, travel opportunities, and leisure and lifestyle activities said Port Macquarie-Hastings council group manager Lucilla Marshall.
“The expo has operated in many forms over the years and has now grown to become an excellent showcase of local products, retirement services and recreational activities that cater specifically to our local seniors’ community,” Ms Marshall said.
“The Sensational Seniors Expo is a great way for seniors to connect with local organisations and groups all under one roof, and is definitely one event not to be missed.”
Performances by the U3A Multicultural Dancers, Zumba Gold with Krista and the St Agnes Goldies, card demonstrations by the Bridge Club and food tastings by Catholic CCA and Omnicare are sure to keep seniors entertained throughout the day.
Seniors can learn more about everything from sight-seeing tours to Italy, local fly fishing and quilting clubs, new BBQ’s, receive free blood pressure and hearing tests and have the chance to take home plenty of free goodies and giveaways.
The expo is part of the NSW Seniors Festival, the largest celebration for people over 60 in the southern hemisphere, running from February 13 – 24.
“It is an opportunity for older adults to try new things, meet new people and share their stories, skills and experiences,” she said.
“We have lots of new exhibitors and more live entertainment than ever before, we encourage anyone looking to make the most out of their retirement to come along to this year’s free expo, learn more about what’s on offer for local seniors and join in the fun.”
The Port Macquarie-Hastings Sensational Seniors Expo is free for attendees.
