The sea-surging crews have opened their ranks with newcomers able to attend a Come and Try sessions from 10am at Port Marina in Park Street on Saturday, February 2 and February 9.
Club Secretary Andrew Blundell said people of all ages and abilities (over 12) were invited to have a go at the water sport for free at the first three sessions.
"Everyone is welcome no matter the fitness, we aim to just get out on the water in summer," he said.
"Its a lot of fun with basic instruction - we pair off experienced paddlers with newcomers.”
Mr Blundell said the Club competes at local, state and national competition as well as overseas events and local holidays such as Australia Day, but it was also a way to encourage socialising and exercise among the 40 members.
"For a lot of members its social, we meet for coffee, lunch, dinner," he said.
"It's a good core workout and legs workout... its a good rehabilitation exercise - good cross fit training for the football players."
