Monday’s top temperature is predicted to be 29 degrees after which the maximum temperature is expected to climb above 30 degrees every day through to Saturday.
Weatherzone meteorologist Joel Pippard said the weather was gradually warming up as we moved towards next week with a hot air mass with a trough bringing the heat from Western Australia across the region.
Saturday is shaping up as the hottest day of the week with a predicted top temperature of 34 degrees.
Port Macquarie is expected to have sea breezes but it will be even hotter inland.
“When the temperatures go up, the humidity will also rise,” Mr Pippard said.
“That means the nights will be a bit more sticky and uncomfortable and the day will feel one or two degrees above the temperature.”
Overnight temperatures for the next few days are expected to be around the average for this time of year but will rise to 20 degrees or slightly above that from Tuesday.
A shower or storm is possible on Saturday.
The wind will drop off for the next few days but the wind speed will start to pick up again on Tuesday or Wednesday.
