More than 150 people flocked to the hall with full bellies and a room filled with smiles an indication the annual lunch was a success.
Part of the organising team of volunteers, Karen Richards, said the end of year Christmas lunch tops of 12 months of service to help the needy and homeless across the Hastings.
And local businesses and organisations were more than happy to support the cause, donating items so every person who ate a delicious lunch also walked away with their own Christmas gift.
Orange Sky Laundry partnered with the soup kitchen to clean clothes while participants ate.
Volunteer Audrey Charlton said the event is a great way to give back to the community and share some camaraderie with fellow workers.
