Beachgoers reported seeing the paraglider in trouble after a launch off Harry’s lookout at about 4.45pm.
Eyewitnesses reported the paraglider clipping trees before becoming entangled in thick scrub on the headland at the popular beach.
The Port Macquarie State Emergency Service (SES) deployed a crew but were not required.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said two paramedic crews were also dispatched but not required.
The SES arrived but the paraglider was able to free himself without injury.
