Raising the roof of The Loungeroom, organiser and musician Phil Jamieson said it is going to be awesome night.
"After a few years off we are holding Magic Castle as a way to bring people together and raise a little bit of money for the local headspace Port Macquarie office,” Mr Jamieson said.
“The timing is perfect because it coincides with the fifth birthday of headspace Port Macquarie and is a chance for us to acknowledge that and see if we can get some money for them as well.
“They are a great local service that offers young people (aged 12-25) access to mental health support, health advice and general information.
“The team at headspace include psychologists, social workers, youth workers and a GP. All headspace services are free.”
On the set list are Mini Skirt, a band out of Byron Bay, Grace Turner a singer songwriter from Newcastle who will be playing at FOTSUN in 2018 along with Royal Chant, Genes, Vena Klymo and Phil Jamieson, lead singer of Grinspoon.
“We have a great night planned so we hope people come along for a relaxed night and leave feeling great.
“We say have no expectations and just be amazed at what we can bring to Port Macquarie on a Thursday night.
“Think of it as a pre-FOTSUN event for the community.”
Adam Murray and Mark Spence say they are pumped to be in Port Macquarie for the gig.
“We wanted to do something and give back to the community and not by just doing a gig,” Mr Spence said.
“This is a special kind of gig being able to raise money for headspace Port Macquarie and we can’t wait to get out there.”
Mr Murray said the venue is unique and intimate.
“We are glad that we can do it and hopefully raise some money for the youth in the community who use the services available at headspace.”
