Robert Courtenay-Morris, Jesse Hinder, Ronan Bailey and Aaron Cace-Gully make up the hottest thing coming out of Bonny Hills – Nana Klumpp – and said they are super excited to be playing at the music festival.
“None us have even been to FOTSUN before but when we were given the opportunity to go and play it was just a great feeling,” Jesse said.
“We will be able to mix with some great band and musicians who have been our inspiration for so long and to play on the same stage as them will be awesome.”
“We have played at a few places around Port Macquarie and the Hastings including at The Lounge Room and the Blues and BBQ festival but this will really boost our music,” Robert said.
“I think we are all just really excited about playing to the huge crowds that FOTSUN get and taking it all in.”
The indie-rock band are becoming more well-known in the Hastings and the wider Mid North Coast particularly after taking out RockFest at Camden Haven High earlier this year.
They said their inspiration for songs comes from their own experiences as well as living in such a great coastal area.
“To be able to play at something as big as FOTSUN means a lot to us and we hope a lot of locals come and support us,” Ronan said.
“It is crazy for us to know that we will be playing on the same stage as some of our biggest influences.
“We can’t wait,” Robert said.
The festival itself will take place at the Port Macquarie Breakwall Tourist Park on December 13, 14 and 15 with 3000 people cramming into the park to see a great line up of Australian musicians and bands.
As part of the Down the Test health initiative music-goers attending the festival in 2018 will be invited to pee in a cup as a part of the event’s health initiative Down the Test gaining them access to exclusive chill out areas while also screening festival goers for STIs.
Health initiatives and services are an important part of the popular summer music event, according to festival director Simon Luke.
“As a boutique festival that has a long standing history of being BYO, FOTSUN is super proud to be hosting a range of sustainability and health initiatives,” he said.
“We are excited to be providing our customers with an array of services and support again this year that bring a communal vibe FOTSUN is known for.”
