In blistering heat – and after three days’ competition – it was a 10-3 victory to the Doyalson side.
The Dragons started in red hot form and never looked like being beaten in a comprehensive win to the Central Coast side.
Led from the front by captain Scott Bundy, the Dragons led 3-1 after 13 minutes and kept pushing their way clear of a gallant but well-beaten Eels outfit.
Bundy played down any individual performances in the team’s win.
“We don’t play for the individual,” he said. “So I don’t have any really good, standout players to praise.
“We are a team and play well together.
“But it was a massive effort from the boys.
“Preparation is what we do well; we go back and do our homework on each team we play.
“Today I thought we put into play everything we had trained for and worked on.
“It was really a top effort right across the park.”
Try scorers for the Doyalson side included, Jesse Jenkins, Ben Glachan, Mitchell Wilton, Lincoln Little 2, Tom Dafater 2, Scott Bundy, Kurth Donoghoe, and Dylan Thompson.
It was an unfortunate day for Eels who tried hard but just couldn’t contain the enthusiasm of the Doyalson outfit.
The Parramatta side won the title in 2015 and also in 2001.
They were also runners-up in 2002 and 2004.
Canterbury Bulldogs took out the open women’s final in a strong effort while the Port Makos competed well but fell short of reaching the finals.
