Two men who allegedly impersonated police officers have fronted Port Macquarie Local Court on Thursday December 6.

Dean Jason Leard, 25, of Pacific Drive Port Macquarie and 28 year old Richard Allen Williams of Palmview Place appeared before Magistrate J Price.
Leard, who was aged 24 years at the time of the alleged incidents, was charged with stealing from a person an amount less than $2000, common assault and impersonating a police officer.
Those incidents took place on November 25.
Leard pleaded not guilty to all three charges. He was granted bail on December 3.
Bail conditions include reporting to police daily; to continue to reside at his given address, not to contact witnesses involved in the matter and adhere to a curfew between 7pm and 7am.
Williams’ bail conditions include reporting to police daily and remaining at his home between 7pm and 7am each day.
Williams is charged with stealing under $2000 from a person and impersonating a police officer – relating to an incident on November 25 and having goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, goods suspected of being stolen, possession of ammunition without holding a licence or permit, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing an unauthorised firearm and possessing and/or use of a prohibited weapon.
Williams has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
