Ms Fisher had previously been working in a Queensland government-owned organisation.
“Director Alex Fisher resigned from Council effective November 19, following a period of leave,” general manager Craig Swift-McNair said.
“Until such time as we go to market for a new director, Jeffery Sharp will act in the role of director of infrastructure.
“It is envisaged that we will commence recruitment for the vacant director’s position in early February 2019.”
He would not disclose the reason for Ms Fisher’s departure.
Ms Fisher, a civil engineer by profession, has a diverse career background which includes defence, local government, state government and the private sector.
