As a grandparent I was thrilled by the student's action on Friday while horrified by the climate change legacy my generation is handing on to them.
And how is it that our local MP, Luke Hartsuyker, could not make himself available to meet with them and discuss their issues?
How utterly pathetic that with all the advance notice he had been given, he could not bring himself to give them a few minutes of his time. Does he not care? Is he embarrassed by the current government policy of denial and unable to defend it to these students?
Again, three cheers to all those who took part and those who would have liked to but were unable. Come on moms and dads, grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles, let's back these kids up.
