This year the main messages were to plan ahead, know the facts, make informed decisions, reduce risks and look after your friends.
RRISK is a health promotion program that has been running in the Mid North Coast area for more than 19 years, and includes seminar days, in-school workshops for year 11 students and presentations for parents and interested community members.
District coordinator for RRISK, Natalie Wilson, said the students were engaged and happily soaked up the information.
"Every year we update the information we are giving to the students so it is up to date, topical information," she said.
"We want to give them good education around things like partying and how to look out for their friends."
She hopes that of the 26 high schools across the Mid North Coast and 2,200 students who participated, the seminars resonated with everyone.
"Our parent presentation last night (November 13) had a great turn out (so) that community approach is working out well," she said.
