Competing on November 3-4, the three local competition teams were up against some of the best cheerleaders in the country.
Coach Courtney Longa said she is as proud as punch at everything her cheerleaders have been able to achieve.
“It is honestly incredible how much our athletes have been able to achieve in such a short amount of time,” Ms Longa said.
“Less than a year ago these kids had no experience with cheerleading and now they are winners at a national competition. I just could not be more proud of them all.”
The junior competition team won their division while the youth team placed third and the opens placed fourth.
“All the work the students have been doing paid off big time at the weekend when they were up on stage competing and doing what they love,” she said.
“Every time they walk into the gym for practice they will always give in 100 percent and it really showed when we went up against some amazing teams from huge gyms in Sydney.
“All three teams recorded no fault routines with is incredible and that shows the work they are putting in at the gym each week is worth it.”
She said with the nationals win under their belt 2019 is looking at being bigger and better.
“We are having tryouts for 2019 in a couple of weeks and are encouraging anyone who is thinking about cheerleading or are curious about what we do to get in touch and have a chat to us.
“Cheerleading takes hard work but anyone can do it and these kids are proof of that.”
