Whether thick and hearty, or thin and barely visible you can expect to see a lot of top lip growth.
An annual charity event that takes place across the month of November, Movember gives men a chance to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health projects.
It targets four prominent areas of health faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Movember started in Australia in 2003, funding more than 1,200 men’s health initiatives across 21 countries in that time.
On average, men die six years earlier than women. Tragically, the leading cause of death for men in Australia is suicide.
In fact, three out of four suicides are committed by men — with more than half a million taking their own life each year.
Port Macquarie men like Matt Mane would like to see an improvement across the board when it comes to men’s health and hopes Movember will continue to increase its profile.
”I like that Movember helps raise awareness and funding for a variety of men's health issues,” he said.
“Mental health is the biggest issue we face, in my opinion. The more talk there is about dealing with mental health issues, particularly with men, the greater chance there is of reducing the stigma associated therefore increasing the likelihood men would seek help.”
As for tips on growing a brilliant mo?
“The money you save on razors can be spent on bees wax and beer,” Mane said.
“Use the wax to curl your mo like a rock star, and the beer can be downed to celebrate the growth.”
