His score was 39 points on a count back from runner up Bruce Duncombe. Gavin Roberts came in third with 38 points on a count back from Mike Halpin and Bruce Smith.
The winner in B grade was David Tydd with 37 points. The runner up was Barry Tink with 36 points on a count back from third placed Rick Day, Rob O’Brien, Graeme McLaren and Brad Moseley.
C grade was won by George Searson with a fantastic score of 44 points. The runner up was Les Derby with 41 points and third was Robert Hii with 40 points on a count back from Alan Hayes and Peter Irons.
Trent Gordon had an eagle two on the par four eleventh hole. The ball competition went down to 35 points on a count back.
Nearest to the pins went to Ken Howell, Josh James, Barry Tink and Phil Dixon.
On Saturday at Port Macquarie the sun was out for a two-ball best ball stableford with a single stableford in conjunction.
Winners of the two-ball event were Graeme Cutcliffe and Mark Maguire with 48 points. Runners up were Rick Day and Mark Cooper with 46 points on a count back from Col Seaman, Frank Scuglia, Chris Farrell and Allan Leahy.
Winner in A Grade was John Tracey with 39 points. The runner up was Evan Berger with 37 points and third was Cameron Matthews with 36 points.
B grade was won by Bob Higham with 39 points. Runner up was Geoff Lysaught with 37 points on a count back from third placed Brian Delroy.
Winner in C Grade was Allan Leahy with a fantastic 44 points. Runner up was Col Seaman with 43 points and third was Franco Bortoli with 39 points.
Stephan Tessede had an eagle two on the on the par four sixth hole. The ball competition went down to 34 points on a count back. Nearest to the pins went to Andy Roberts, Chris Baker, Sam Hutchison and Cliff Toms.
