Jenni was inspired during the Luminosity Youth Summit to do her bit for drought-affected farming families.
The 17-year-old’s goal is to raise $20,000 through the sale of stuffed toy sheep to buy vouchers to assist farming families in the Gunnedah area over the Christmas season.
“No one should miss out on Christmas,” Jenni said.
“I just want to bring them a little joy around Christmas.”
The Rotary Club of Port Macquarie West came on board to assist.
Three versions of the stuffed toy sheep will be available to buy at the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie West’s stall at the Port Macquarie Foreshore Markets on October 13 and the Camden Haven Show on October 13 and 14.
The stuffed toy sheep are available to buy for $10 or $15. More than $1000 has already been raised with the help of Rotarians.
Other groups are also supporting Jenni’s fundraising project.
