I live all alone, my daughter Susan decided to stay at home tonight - I did not feel like cooking so I decided to go to the new restaurant Bills in Clarence Street.

I enjoyed a really nice dinner - pan fried scallops and a grilled snapper.
There was a young lady sitting alone not far from me.
She left before I finished my meal - the cashier came over and said to me this must be your lucky day that lady just paid for your dinner - I only know her name is Kimberley - the only way I can convey my sincere appreciation is by way of the Port Macquarie News.
What a pleasant surprise - she probably thought that old bugger looks like he is due to fall of his perch so this could be his last supper.
What a lovely surprise, so unexpected, there are some really nice people prepared to bring joy into the lives of others - it is not so much the money as the kindness.
I am now 93 years of age, a veteran affairs pensioner. I arrived here in 1957 served 23 years as Town Clerk and then 20 years funeral director with Brian Hutchison.
I have had such a pleasing and rewarding career.
