I am writing on behalf of myself and the countless other patients receiving $263 penalty notices whilst parking in Highfields Circuit.

After waiting three months for specialist appointments, it is very distressing to discover there are no parking spaces left in the whole street.
Patients, often frail and elderly, do not have the option of driving home and coming on another day. Nor can they park some distance from the specialist and walk to their appointment for expert care..
Like me, their only option is to park on the nature strip behind the NO PARKING signs.
How could Council approve all these specialist rooms with inadequate parking? Perhaps they believed that each suite would house just one doctor? There are many practitioners sharing rooms so the required parking is quadrupled.
Add to this mix, students from the university, also in Highfields circuit and hospital employees desperate to park for work and we have a crisis.
Who is paying for this discomfort and cost? The sick and the elderly. Who benefits? The well-paid doctors and the government.
Council must recognise this abuse and neglect of their duties. It could be argued, that sending rangers out to fine fragile people is a cynical revenue raising activity. On the day of my appointment, multiple cars were booked.
I wish to protest this impossible situation, for myself and other victims. I hope they will read this and join me challenging this disgraceful situation,
