The event kicks off at 10am at the Lake Cathie Foreshore. It was organised by the North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) and the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHPS).
Free activities on the day include a healthy food cook-off, music, a smoothie bike, free health checks presented by the Lake Cathie Medical Centre, face painting, games and a barbecue lunch.
The Lake Cathie Health and Wellbeing Day coincides with Mental Health Month and there will be information available to people on services and activities available in the region.
The event is part of the Healthy Towns program and aims to provide an opportunity for the community to connect and learn more about local health and wellbeing services.
The RAMHP team will invite members of the community to participate in a joint activity, to showcase how they are working together with their communities to build mental wellbeing.
The healthy food cook-off will be judged by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Mayor Peta Pinson.
