St Columba Anglican School, Port Macquarie has confirmed an alleged incident of ‘reportable conduct’ occurred on school grounds on Thursday.
It is believed the matter involves a teacher and an allegation a student was physically handled.
“The school has contacted the appropriate authorities in line with its policies regarding such matters,” principal Terry Muldoon said.
The matter will now be dealt with as a formal investigation.
“A risk assessment of the situation has been completed and appropriate measures put in place to support those involved.”
No further comment was provided by the school.
