Players from the local area made up the representative team.
With a 14-0 lead at the break, coach Shanene Matthews said the girls were told to focus on their communication to defend their lead.
“The players went back out on the field with a positive mind set,” coach Shanene said.
“The girls went out and displayed great defence, with strong communication between players.
“They scored three more tries to notch up 26 points - nil.”
Shanene said Group 2 didn't give up fighting and scored a consolation try to make the final score 26-6.
Shanene said it was a great experience and opportunity for the girls to represent their area.
“They build confidence in their ability and gain experience from going up against the best of the best from each area,” she said.
