Several pre-fab walls are already in place.
Bunnings' state operations manager NSW North, Cheryl Williams says the new warehouse is also on track to officially open sometime in early 2019.
"Construction works are progressing as planned at the new Bunnings Warehouse Port Macquarie site," Mrs Williams said.
"Construction has progressed to the structure of the building with the erection of concrete wall panels.
"Roadworks on John Oxley Drive have also recently commenced."
Some 250 jobs have been created during the construction phase.
It is understood Bunnings will be searching to fill some 80 additional jobs in the lead-up to the opening of the new mega centre.
The mega store will cover about 18,000 square metres and is sited near the corner of John Oxley Drive and the Oxley Highway.
Road works are currently underway on the eastern side of John Oxley Drive to accommodate traffic movements in and around the area.
Bunnings has had a strong presence in Port Macquarie since 2003 and it currently trades on Lake Road.
Once that site is vacated the Lake Road site owners, BWP Trust, could reconfigure the complex to accommodate smaller tenancies.
BWP Trust has a portfolio of 79 properties listed across Australia in a large, geographically diverse portfolio.
