When the trio known as Future Crunch came together their goal was to bring about optimism for the future, and kicking off the 2018 Luminosity Youth Summit they did just that.
With a captivate nearly 400 strong crowd, Dr Angus Hervey, Tane Hunter and Will Tait proved you do not need to run a country to make a difference.
“Intelligence is not what you know, but rather how you know,” Dr Hervey said.
The trio opened their passionate talk with a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and it built from there.
Over the course of the hour the men developed ideas and encouraged the crowd to follow through on their dangerous ideas.
They said people see what they want and with so much bad news in the world it is up to you to seek out what is good and innovative.
“We can define our streams of knowledge and I want to empower others to harness what they believe in and do great things in our world,” Mr Hunter said.
With backgrounds in music, science, politics and economics they showed that no matter what you are passionate about or interested in, it is up to the individual to go out and make a difference.
At the opening of the 2018 Summit, Co-Founder and Luminosity chair, Kate Wood-Foye said the three day event was going to be “life changing” for the delegates.
“This is our strongest line up yet – we wanted a diverse and powerful range of story tellers, entrepreneurs, elite sports people, artists, academics and visionaries to join us in 2018,” Mrs Wood-Foye said.
“And we are thrilled to be able to present this year’s lineup of 22 incredible visionaries over a three day mega summit.
“Each of these speakers has a unique and powerful story to tell, skills to teach and secrets to share on how they made their dangerous idea a reality.”
