Police were called to High Street near Network Video and Country Kitchen in Wauchope last Thursday evening (July 19), after a report that a man was seen walking around the front of his house with a gun, and was involved in an argument.

Police officers attended and spoke to a man. After a search of premises, they found the barrel of a rifle.
They arrested a man and charged him with having the barrel of a gun without having a licence, with having goods suspected to be stolen, and with having a prohibited drug.
He was charged at Port Macquarie police station, was given bail and is due to appear in court in Port Macquarie on August 4 2018.
