One truck attended the scene of the out of control bushfire but took only 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze stations commander Gaven Muller said.
“Last night one truck was sent to a bushfire burning on Major Innes Road and within half an hour the crew had the fire out,” Mr Muller said.
“The fire itself was around half a hectare of bush and grass land.
“The mild weather conditions we have experienced recently contributed to firefighters being able to bring the fire under control very quickly.
“No one was hurt or injured.”
Mr Muller warned anyone who was wanting to have a fire in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton needed to have a permit.
“Even though we are in winter, people wanting to have a fire outside in the Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton townships needs to get a permit to do so,” he said.
“If anyone sees a fire please immediately report it to 000.”
