THE 38 year old male is now free after being trapped for around 1 hour. The patient has been taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital with a fractured ankle and possible other leg injuries. He is in a stable condition.

*8.45am.
EMERGENCY workers are trying to free a man, believed to be in his late 30s, from his car following an accident on Ocean Drive, Port Macquarie this morning (July 16).
The accident occurred around 8:15am with two cars involved in the crash. The first patient did not require treatment, however a male patient remained trapped at 8.45am with SES, police and ambulance on the scene.
Traffic is affected in both directions.
