Each student presented a prepared speech on a topic of their choice given by the Department of Education’s Arts Unit.
These speeches had to have a multicultural theme and explore relevant issues.
Overall, the adjudicator commented on the high quality of speeches. In addition, students also prepared an impromptu speech.
Stage 2 students had five minutes to prepare a speech on trees while Stage 3 prepared and presented a speech on sport.
The Stage 2 competition was won by Gabby Turner from Tacking Point and Kaeleb Morris from Hastings won the Stage 3 division.
