Polish food, a talk, dance demonstration, prizes, and session about Polish artefacts marked the Port Macquarie CWA Branch’s Polish International Day on June 27.
The event organiser, Ruth Durrant, said the attendees learnt a lot in a cultural sense.
“I think having Polish speakers and Polish locals there impressed the people who attended,” she said.
The U3A Multicultural Dancers performed Polish dances.
The group’s dance teacher, Christine Battison, said the dancers were quite honoured to perform at the event.
“It gives us great joy to be able to perform,” she said.
“If we can assist with making a special event more special, it is always a thrill.”
