The award, considered the top honour by the world wide organisation, was presented to Ms Fitzpatrick during the club’s changeover dinner on Tuesday June 19.
Ms Fitzpatrick was acknowledged with the award for her contribution to the Rotary movement and the community during the Pappinbarra bushfires.
The Rotary Club of Wauchope was instrumental in organising and coordinating a fundraising drive for those affected by the devastating bushfires.
The Rebuild Pappinbarra program was an outstanding success at all levels.
The club raised some $30,000 through various streams. Those funds were distributed to residents in the Pappinbarra area.
The Pappinbarra bushfire was a grim experience for the whole community.

Ms Fitzpatrick's role in keeping the community informed about the appeal and its progress was central to Rotary’s decision to present her with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow.
She said she was delighted to receive the award.
"I'm delighted and very humbled to receive the prestigious Paul Harris award from Wauchope Rotary,” she said.
“The Pappinbarra bushfire was a grim experience for the whole community.
“However it brought out the best in people, as they came together and showed great compassion and generosity towards those affected.
“I am grateful to have been able to help in a small way by providing information through the Wauchope Gazette, in print, online and through social media, to help people through that frightening time, and to promote the Wauchope Rotary appeal, which raised so much in the aftermath of the bushfire."
