By the end of the day it was a case of how much the 14-year-old would break any record by, rather than if he would.
Mackillop sports coordinator Erin Denham expected the teenager to be something special.
“He’s just one of those kids that stops the carnival,” she said.
“You can see it in the way that he runs; he’s so smooth and will probably be in that elite category in coming years.”
De Domizio set fresh marks in five different events.
“He did it across multiple events as well, records that date back to 1994 and 1995,” Denham said.
De Domizio’s new time in the 400-metre event (58:11) slashed almost one and a half seconds off the previous mark (59.43).
He also broke the previous 800-metre record (2:22.55) by almost three seconds (2:19.83).
The teenager also got the job done in the 1500-metre (4:50.92), 100-metre (12.18) and 200-metre (24.02) events.
