Sarah and Claire McIntosh with Bailey Whitton train hard throughout the year, in the hope of achieving their shared dream of one day making it to the Olympics. 

They make the trip from the Camden Haven to Port Macquarie pool about four or five times a week for training in the cooler months. 

At the NSW All Schools-Secondary Swimming - Championship Sarah got first place in the 50 metre butterfly and breaststroke; second for 50 metre freestyle, backstroke and 100 metre backstroke. She got third place for the 100 metre freestyle. 

Sarah was awarded outstanding CCC Female Swimmer of the competition. 

Claire came first in the 50 metre backstroke and third in the 50 metre breaststroke. 

Bailey came second in the 50 metre freestyle. 

At the July national event in Hobart Sarah will swim in 10 events and Claire is in three. 

While his time qualified him for a place in the national competition, Bailey is too young to compete. 

He said it has motivated him to work harder for next year. 

Bailey said he gets nervous before competing but talking to a friend helps. Sarah said she listens to music before a big race. 

At nationals Sarah is aiming to do 50 metre freestyle in 30.44 seconds to break the previous record.
